Maybe you might be confused of the title here. yes, it is about
fairytales that we've used to know. Cinderella, Snow White and the 7
Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, you name it. Those fairytales are
basically produced by Disney. well, in this case, i won't tell you about
the stories because you knew it since our birth. i would like to show
you how these amazing fairytales being photographed.
so, this famous photographer is stunning and really sensational. she's
old now but still work hard in photography. Annie Leibovitz, she's
amazing. i'm truly speechless seeing her editorial works, mostly for
VOGUE, and i really wondered how unbelievable she is. oh my.
Annie Leibovitz created this "Disney Dreams" campaign using several
stories that Disney been produced so far. Not all of them, but the major
ones. i'm gonna show you some of it (because it's too many) that i fell
in love to.
Scarlet Johansson portrays Cinderella here. the most remarkable moment
in Cinderella story is where she slipped her glass shoe in the castle
because it's late and she hide herself before she changed into the
regular appearance. this is where the journey begins. no glass shoes, no
happy ending. it should be over that way.
i always love Pocahontas. it really makes me think more about my life.
it's true that letting go and be free. Jessica Biel shows it all in this
photograph. She set her heart and soul free, chasing the colour of the
wind and get the prince back.
i never watch Beauty and the Beast in complete. i always missed some
parts of the movie and never watch it again. forgive me. some people
said that this is the most romantic story of all Disney fairytales
because no matter how ugly you are, the most important thing is the
heart. if you really believe on it, you'll see a perfection in every
way. Penelope Cruz is a true Belle. she's beautiful and perfect in that
yellow dress, partnering with Jeff Bridges.
i know. it's amazing right? the little mermaid is no longer little. she
turned to be a beautiful Under the Sea princess. Juilenne Moore looks so
gorgeous being Ariel. the photograph is awesome. this is my favorite of
all.
it seems that "a whole new world" suits them well, did you think?
hahahaha! kidding. it's sad that they used to be real couple but now
they have to make their whole new world again. so sad. when i saw this
picture, i was asking myself "why J-Lo?". why not Shakira or Beyonce or
Catherine Zeta-Jones? then i saw Beyonce was portraying Alice (in the
next picture) and i realize that J-Lo has this Arabic face that suits
the characteristics of Jasmine. i don't know. maybe Annie picked them
because they're couple and they matched with Aladdin and Jasmine.
whatever.
as i said before, Beyonce become the Alice. it's a bit weird for me
since i watched Tim Burton's version and they used Blonde. not a big
deal but still awkward. well, back to topic. the picture was portraying
Alice, March Hare, and Mad Hatter spinning around in a cup. quite fun!
Oliver Platt and Lyle Lovett is the Hare and Hatter.
last but
not least, the Prince in Sleeping Beauty is in the house! David Beckham
is getting heroic with the horse, ready to rescue and wake Aurora. maybe
is Annie portray the kissing scene, the Aurora might be Posh?
i'm
disappointed because Annie didn't make the Mulan version :( Mulan is the
best Disney movie i ever watched. perhaps they can't find a perfect
figure to portray Mulan. i can recommend Devon Aoki for that or maybe
Zhang Zi Yi but i really want to see Devon as Mulan. it will be great!
